Because the NY governorship still isn’t absurd enough

By Ned | April 1, 2008

Well, it looks like Rep. Pete King has this kooky idea in his head that he might be running for governor of New York in 2010. Which means that it’s time to take a look at Pete King’s greatest hit[s]!

New York Rep. Peter King, a prominent House Republican, said there are “too many mosques in this country” in a recent interview with Politico.

“There are too many people sympathetic to radical Islam,” King said. “We should be looking at them more carefully and finding out how we can infiltrate them.”

Hey man, that kind of blatant discrimination doesn’t fly in New York state politics. Stick to Congress. Where it very much does fly.
