Back from DC

I got back from DC this morning, and I would have blogged earlier except wake-up call came at 4:30 am and I spent most of the day once I got home sitting in front of my computer in a twitchy, exhausted, contented funk. Needless to say, the conference was amazing to the point of confusing my basic perception of reality. I’m working on mentally processing everything that happened during the trip so I can write an article about it (which will then appear on this blog), but I will say that I met some absolutely incredible people on the trip - and I’m not just talking about the professional journalists here. The other Free Spirit scholars that I encountered on the trip were, without exception, amazing.
It’s been two weeks since I spent a whole day at my house, so I’m behind on a lot of things, the least of which is news, and the greatest of which is school work. I did, however, catch an interesting article in the Post today about the possibility, albeit somewhat distant one, that citations, and possible indictments, for contempt of Congress, could result from the fired prosecutors scandal. By the way, everyone tune in to C-SPAN at 7 pm tomorrow to see the Free Spirit people talk to Eleanor Clift.
Now I’m off to play the guitar. It’s been a good two weeks and my fingers are starting to really itch.
